In northwest Palm Springs near the Pacific Crest Trail, leave the busy highway to arrive at a serene and remote dune system. This ever-changing landscape provides stunning scenery and habitat for rare and endangered species. Learn about conservation management for this Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC). Bring water and sun protection. Cameras recommended. Hike rating, elevation change, length: Moderate, 2 miles with some uneven terrain.
