More Than Sad

The Desert Cities Chapter of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention will be presenting an educational piece called "More Than Sad". This program teaches participants how to recognize signs of depression and other mental health problems in themselves and others, initiate a conversation about mental health, and get help. We aim to challenge the stigma surrounding depression and demystify the treatment process. After the presentation, 417 Recovery will offer a support group with a therapist present in order to provide a safe place for members of the community to receive support. All members of the public are welcome! Complimentary coffee and a light breakfast will be served.
