Happy 18th Birthday Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument! Established 10/24/2000.
Hikers will journey through a variety of the Monument’s habitats including desert wash, sand dunes, rocky canyon and native palm oasis. Cameras recommended. Wildlife watching opportunities and views are stunning! Bring sun protection, water and snack, and be prepared for windy conditions. Hike is moderate with 1,000 feet elevation and 5 miles round trip. Sorry no dogs allowed.
